Stamp and Create Product Spotlight-SWALK

The product spotlight this week at Stamp and Create is the new SWALK stamps from Crafters Companion. I wanted to use the sketch from Sweet Sketch Wednesday #67, so I rearranged the sentiment from the set to fit the sketch. The sentiment is circular. I stamped each word individually using my (hardly ever used) stamp-a-ma-jig. I used the second part of the sentiment for the inside of the card.

Don't forget this months Stamp and Create Challenge is Pearls and Gems. Why dont you add some bling to your projects and enter your creation to get a chance to win a $25 gift certificate to Stamp and Create!

Happy Birthday Stamp and Create!

This is my second post for Monday September 13, 2010. Scroll down to see my Critter Sketch Challenge Blog post.

It's Stamp and Create's 1st birthday! Happy Birthday! Congratulation Lacey on a great first year!  To celebrate, I made a Birthday Card using Popcorn the Bear! The challenge for this month is to use pearls/gems, so I added tons using flourish patterns.

I used Popcorn the Bear Birthday Hugs. I also used Basic Grey Green at Heart Paper, KaiserCraft Pearls, Clothesline Assorted Paper DoiliesLight Red Prima Mini Rosesa Teddy Charm,  May Arts Pink Ribbon and SU Silver cord. I coloured the image with my Copic Markers. I used Smooch Illuminate over the Grey coloured portion to make it look like silver wrapping paper.

I am trying something different with my pictures. I didn't use a white backdrop. Please let me know what you think. I am still undecided if I like it or not.

Critter Sketch Challenge # 31

I'm back with this week's Critter Sketch Challenge Blog weekly challenge.

This week your challenge is going to be school related. By this time most children have returned to school for the year. This would be a fun time to create a school project. We would love to see something other than a card this week. Think altered item for a teacher or special school friend.

I made a keychain for a teacher friend. Her classroom has a locked cabinet for special books that her students get to read as a reward for exemplary behaviour. I used an image from our September Sponsor Sew Many Cards.

Be sure to visit these blogs of a few members of the Critter Sketch Design Team to see xemplararytheir delightful creations for this weeks challenge. I do hope that you are inspired to enter the challenge! I can't wait to see what you create.
